ERIC HUTCHINS began playing guitar, piano, and trumpet
at an early age, and various folk instruments in high school. Since
completing a Bachelor of Music Education degree with high honors
from the University of Montana, he has taught string orchestra
in Missoula, Montana public schools. Eric earned the Master of
Music degree in Composition & Technology at UM in 1997.
He performs on stringed instruments as a soloist and with WilloWood,
as a trumpeter with the Missoula Symphony Orchestra and
as a member of the Missoula Brass Quartet, and fronts
Go Dog Go!, a local rock band. He has also performed
with the Montana Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra
Of The Rockies, and conducted orchestras at the UM Music
Camp, the International Suzuki Institute, and the
MCPS Summer Program.
